This blog is about my experience in Germany over the course of the Spring 2016 semester. I am a junior at Pitzer College, but I will be spending this semester on an exchange program at Justus-Liebig Universität in Giessen, Germany.

I have an interest in Germany both academically and personally. I’m a History Major, with a Modern Europe focus, and I’m excited for the classes and the history I will experience while abroad. But my Oma (my mother’s mother), was born in Wüstensachsen, Germany. Needless to say, I’ve grown up with a lot of her stories about her early life.

 

Dieser Blog ist über meine Zeit in Deutschland, während dem Frülingssemester 2016. Ich bin eine Studentin im Sechsten Semester bei Pitzer College, aber ich werde dieses Semester bei der Justus-Liebig Universität in Gießen verbringen.

Ich bin interessiert an Deutschland sowohl akademisch als auch persönlich. Mein Hauptfach ist Geschichte mit Schwerpunkt auf Modernes Europa und Ich freue mich auf meinen Unterricht und die Geschichte in Deutschland. Meine Oma (die Mutter meiner Mutter), war in Wüstensachsen, Deutschland geboren. Als ich klein war, erzählte sie mir ihre Geschichte.
